- Tutors for Gordon Elementary in Math and English
- Tutors at Dave Wells Community Center for after-school program. Dave Wells is the neighboring community center for Guthrie and Gordon Elementary. The children come to the center after school and wait on parents to pick them up. The staff needs volunteer tutors to help students with various homework assignments
- Mentorship
- Partnership with MCS Connect Program: need more committed male mentors

- Etiquette
- Etiquette teaches proper table setting, how to properly speak, dress and to behave
- Professional Attire
- Partner with “Dress for Success” to teach how to dress properly for an interview, job and school
- Health Awareness
- Health Fair to target obesity, fun exercises and proper eating habits. Partner with Nike or Reebok, the Health Department, Subway, Wild Oats, and other health awareness companies
Financial Planning
- Budgeting
- Partner with CitiFinancial and local banks to teach adolescents on budgeting for school and their family’s future.
College Planning
- Financial Aid
- Partner with Collegebound.com and Memphis City Schools on when and how to fill out financial aid paperwork and when to file for financial aid
- Scholarships and Grants
- Partner with local businesses on providing scholarships for well-deserved students
- College Tours
- Partner with local colleges and National College Tour to educate students on various local and out-of-state colleges
Career Workshop
- Job Shadowing
- Partner with local businesses to have adolescents shadow an entrepreneur, or employee/manager in the field of the adolescent’s career choice. This will allows the individual to decide if this is the career path they want to travel
- Internship
- Partner with local business for summer internship
- Interviewing and Resume Techniques
- Partner with Dress for Success for skills.
- Career Planning
- Have Career Fair for high school students. Partner with local businesses that will hire high school students
