Since its beginning, UCAN has depended on the generosity
of people like you to carry out its mission of helping our future
leaders of tomorrow. Volunteers have always been the driving force
behind the foundation, giving generously of their time and talent
to serve in a variety of ways. As an organization, we believe that volunteers are vital to the
work we do; they also act as strong advocates in the community.
Our volunteers are all ages, come from all backgrounds, and are
passionate about sharing their time, talents, and energy with us.
As a UCAN volunteer, you are a part of a
unique team. We are proud to be one of organizations in the US offering
excellent programs and events. Our volunteer program is run in a
professional manner by skilled administrators who work hard to make
each part of your experience positive. All UCAN staff welcome the
opportunity to work with committed volunteers and we pride ourselves

Word of Thanks:
Marcia Adair:
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Marcia Adair, and I have been apart of UCAN for almost a year. UCAN has pushed me beyond my comfort zone to make me a better person in everyway from the start. UCAN has shown me how helping young adults and teenagers can change their lives as well as yours. I have attended my first planning meeting, sung in my first production, been apart of a college workshop, and (my hardest challenge) read to elementary school children. Everything that I have participated in with UCAN has changed my life in some way, which changed my attitude and now I feel that I can do anything and succeed in it. UCAN believe sincerely about their volunteers and the people they are helping and I am happy to be apart of this organization.
Thank You for Listening,
Marcia Adair
Victoria Brooks of MCS:
I appreciate you being apart of my education. I thank you for all your time you spend with me cause you could have been somewhere else other than spending time talking to me. I thank you for your help and all that you do for me. I thank you for helping me realize in order to get respect I have to give respect. And thank you for helping me realize I can achieve if I try.
Michelle Chism of HealthWorks:
What makes the people of UCAN so unique and special is the fact that they are proud! Proud to help the community and Proud to help the children of Memphis, TN have a better chance. They have never asked for compensation for the many events partnered with HealthWorks. Most importantly, they always posses a positive attitude, “go getting” spirit and beautiful smiles. UCAN is one of the few representations of organized professionals working together to achieve a common goal. This company is a blessing to the community and the greater good of Memphis.
Dorchelle Terrell Spence (parent):
Thank you for having the courage to step out on faith and “live” your passion to help the young people of our community. You are doing great work and I wish you much success in what you are trying to accomplish. |
